ABOUT: BEHIND THE JESTER
This monotype continues my exploration of identity and the masks we wear — both the chosen and the unconscious ones. The figure hovers between the human and the animal, the playful and the uncontrollable. There is something both humorous and unsettling about its presence, as if it’s caught in a game that has taken on a life of its own.

The work reflects on the unpredictable side of being human — where play, humour, and disguise become both protection and transformation. Behind the Jester is a reminder that we all carry something wild and untamed within us, and invites the viewer to look past the mask/animal, to sense the fragile, shifting self that lingers just beneath the laughter.
